Outreach Training

We will be running a training session for anyone that would like to volunteer as an Outreach Ambassador for No Plastic Please and HUMANE ACTION Pittsburgh at large. Outreach Ambassadors attend events in the Pittsburgh area and support our mission by introducing HAP campaigns, educating the public and representing HAP in a professional manner. Fall Pledge Campaign

October 18, 2019 - October 31, 2019

From October 18th to October 31st, No Plastic Please is holding a Fall Pledge drive. Our goal is to get 200 more Pittsburghers to take the No Plastic Please Pledge. If we hit our goal and each person only reduces their plastic use by a single item a day, we will stop over 70,000 pieces of single use plastic from entering our community over the next year! “Beyond Plastic” Symposium

No Plastic Please will be presenting at Slippery Rock's  "Beyond Plastic" symposium. This event is designed to empower students to think of themselves as agents of positive change, and to equip them with the knowledge they need to be effective in doing so.  It is open to all SRU students, faculty and staff, as well as regional high school students and teachers.

HUMANE ACTION Pittsburgh (HAP) is the parent non-profit of the No Plastic Please campaign. At our regular meetings we discuss a number of issues related to animal welfare, including plastic waste. This is also where we share actions you can take to support legislative progress on these issues. Light snacks and discussion at 6pm. Meeting starts at 6:30 and ends promptly at 7:30.
